Well, strap me to a papasan and call me chowboy. This weekend I was introduced to "solids". Now, I would call it a lot of things -- but solid? Nah. Hardly solid if you ask me. But, guess what? I liked it, I'm not going to lie. Tastes like chicken (...right?)
I also went in a "pool" for the first time on Saturday...or at least that's what I was told. Look at the picture. Does that look like a pool? Can anyone "swim" in that? Hey I know -- let's invite the neighbors and have relay races. Come on, now. A pool. Really? I should've peed if I wanted to wet my bathing suit. My parents...they try.Note: I will add that on Sunday, after a great chill session at Logan's house with Ava, Lillian, Logan, and Gunnison, I stopped over at grandma's. And it was there that I got in a REAL pool for the first time. It was only a quick late afternoon dip...but it was perfect and it got me thinking: If I keep eating that mushy rice stuff, I'll continue to grow. Then one day I'll be able to swim in grandma's pool or Pop-Pop's pool or grandma vegas' pool or the ocean, and I won't ever be subjected to the inflatable ankle-wetter sitting in my front yard again. That's a deal worth eating for.

What's the deal Hudson? After having a kick ass time with the whole crew you start eating solids and take a swim in a pool. What is a girl to do? I guess I just have to think about you showing off your thighs in you bathing suit...
lillian
Solids already? Where has the time gone?
Don't worry, Hudson--next time I see you I'll show you some of my kickin' swimming moves...it's only real pools for this little fish. I've got a real cute two-piece for the summer. Mom says since she can't wear a bikini this year, someone might as well get to have some fun!
Solids already! and you're swimming too!! Before you know it you're going to want to be picking yourself up and walking around the coffee table.... You might even want to consider a little boogie board for the pool. Ohhhh, So much to do and learn...and you have such good teachers.
Hudson,
Mommy is supposed to leave you at the beach house with me this week. Hurry, get here. I miss you.
