Ok, ok ... I know it's been awhile.

Wow, it's been a long time and I've got to get you up to speed. So much has gone down in past two months - from new teeth to new dance to new attitude - I don't even know where to begin. I'll have to come back to it. Gimme a few days. The rents don't let me on the computer much...so be patient people. It's not my fault. It's the other two I live with.

For now, though, here's a quick hit on some good stuff this week.

Here I am in my pirate ship. Yes, it's a tub too. So why's it in the hallway you ask? Because I outgrew it that's why. Now I sit in the big tub for bath time. And this little tub is super fun to be pulled around the apartment in. Wait hold on...oh nevermind...mom was just saying something about her back hurting. She wasn't talking to me. Ahoy!

I looked out the window and saw white. "Snow" is what they tell me. "Get me a snowsuit and a sled, then" is what I tell them. (Stay tuned..those pics are on their way in the next blog)

My very first "Christmas Run" happened the other day. Aunt Margy sent me over some boxes from Texas and said I could open them. At first I was wondering what was so special about opening boxes, but when I did I saw TOYS AND BOOKS inside them!!! OH MAN!!! I went crazy. Inside those boxes were dreams I tell you. It was awesome! And apparently I'll get to do this again in a couple days. So cool. Thanks Aunt Margy! I love you!

So this is the last pic in my blog. And I have a bone to pick with mom and dad. What the heck, man? How could you stick me on this pudgy, bushy-headed, red velvety dude and expect me to cooperate? Come on, now? Where's the logic and common sense? Who is this guy? He scared the crap out of me. Literally. I hope I don't see him for at least another year...

Ok, then. Ahgum and dit.

This Weather Rocks...Part 2

When we left the boulders, mom and dad had this idea that I "would really love going to the pumpkin patch". And I did...for about 5 minutes. I mean it was cool - but how long can you stand, or in my case hover, in a field of giant orange squash before the entertainment wears thin? The best part was when I picked out a 30+ pound pumpkin and watched dad work hard to carry it out with me in his other arm. He eventually handed the pumpkin to mom, who simply put it down. Needless to say, we left with a nice 12 pound pumpkin.

Then today, I went to a farm in Jersey. Dad was psyched he got a two quart bushel of long hot peppers for $1.75. Mom was happy with an apple cider donut. Grandma got a "beautiful" bag of free-range chicken (though she also kept saying how bad she felt about it). And I got to peek my head through the cutout of this this oh-so-lifelike ghost for a photo opportunity. Boo.

This Weather Rocks...Part 1

I went to the Gunks on Saturday with the rents. Now I've been there before, but it never felt quite this good. A cool 58 degrees and sunny. Spent the day in the Trapps. Conditions for bouldering were mint...or at least that's what dad said. I'm starting to repeat things now, in case you were wondering. For instance:

You smile, I smile.

You need the crash pad, I take the crash pad.

You turn your head, I shove dirt in my mouth.

You think it'll be easy changing my diaper, I laugh in your face.

You talk to me, I look for doggies heading our way.

See how well I repeat things? Though, I probably should've mentioned I'm very selective...

Anyway, it was an awesome day. And my first real Fall day at the crag. I'm sure there'll be many, many more to come.

The times they are a changin'...

Sorry everyone. I've been so busy growing up that I forgot to blog for a little while. Maybe it's been a little more than a little while, actually... ahh, who's keeping tab anyway?

Here's the week in pictures:

Mom and I went to work with dad last week. He works in New York. I took the train and the subway for the first time and harassed commuters, walked ( I mean strolled) around SoHo, chilled out at the office, and took a dump right by dad's desk (which, by the way, he has more crap on his desk than I'll ever have in my pants). It was a great day!

I went to the beach the other day, too. I told dad to wear sunscreen on his back, but he didn't listen...kids. Anyway, while mom, Reena, Nicole, and Jen were somewhere off on the not so distant shore, doggie paddlin' and singing some "caribbean queen" song, and dad and mike were attempting to surf ankle high waves, I was hanging with my girl, Ella. She loves me. She wrote it in the sand. "We're sharing the same dream. And our hearts, they beat as one." Wait...where'd I get that from?...

And we went over to Pop pop and Mimi's for Mimi's birthday. Everyone ate the pasta with broccoli except me. Broccoli gives me gas. I had fun. And my cousin Amaya was there. She's 4 months old. We made plans to get together and catch up in AC in 20 and a half years.

Also, my great Grandma Iurato was there. Now, I've nothing funny to say here... All I really want to say is...I LOVE YOU GREAT GRANDMA!

Ok, that's all for now. I promise I'll be better at staying on top of my blog. Somewhere in between the sweet potatoes and the army crawl...

Later,

5 Months In a Minute or Two

Some of you have been asking for videos. Well,  this isn't an oscar winning director's cut or anything, but dada slapped a little quickie together to hold you over ...

A Solid Plan

Well, strap me to a papasan and call me chowboy. This weekend I was introduced to "solids". Now, I would call it a lot of things -- but solid? Nah. Hardly solid if you ask me. But, guess what? I liked it, I'm not going to lie. Tastes like chicken (...right?)
I also went in a "pool" for the first time on Saturday...or at least that's what I was told. Look at the picture. Does that look like a pool? Can anyone "swim" in that? Hey I know -- let's invite the neighbors and have relay races. Come on, now. A pool. Really? I should've peed if I wanted to wet my bathing suit. My parents...they try.

Note: I will add that on Sunday, after a great chill session at Logan's house with Ava, Lillian, Logan, and Gunnison, I stopped over at grandma's. And it was there that I got in a REAL pool for the first time. It was only a quick late afternoon dip...but it was perfect and it got me thinking: If I keep eating that mushy rice stuff, I'll continue to grow. Then one day I'll be able to swim in grandma's pool or Pop-Pop's pool or grandma vegas' pool or the ocean, and I won't ever be subjected to the inflatable ankle-wetter sitting in my front yard again. That's a deal worth eating for.

Prom Night

My aunt Tiffany had her prom tonight, so I took a back seat in the rent's car to go and see her in her dress. I had to stare at her for quite a while, as you can see in the first pic, because she looked so perfect (not to mention I wanted to chew on her hair). Then I offered to chaperone, but she thought I might need a diaper change in the middle of the night and delay plans. I agreed that it probably wasn't a great idea, so I stayed back at Grandma's house and had a rub-a-dub (you know, that's the fancy word for "bath"...remember?)

So, I hope she's having fun tonight. You know, I can't even remember my prom...or wait, maybe that's because it's not for another 18 years. Oh man...

For the record

I love chicks. I finally met Ava today. Oh man, she's a hottie. And she's officially old enough to chill in a car seat...which means I knew I had to turn on the charm to impress. I brought her a flower. She never woke to see it. Actually, I think she heard about Lillian and was playing hard to get. I know how it is. But once she sees my thighs I'll be a star in her big brown or blue or green eyes...give it a little time.

This Just In

Good evening everyone. Tonight in the Hudstown news at 8:45 (I would do the news at 9, but I'm not gonna make it)...I went to meet Lillian yesterday on a bib date. Or at least I thought that's what it was. I wore my "Tastes Like Chicken" bib hoping to impress, hinting that I don't actually eat chicken, but I was quick to notice she left her bib off. Well, you have got to see the diapers on her....talk about having it all...great disposition, makes me laugh, she's focused, and she's a knockout. Like her mom. And her dad is, um, well...she's like her mom. Ok, moving on...
I stopped by Grandma's house on the way home...but this isn't about me right now. I would like to take a quick second to personally invite every single Baltimore Oriole in the north Jersey vicinity to stop by her backyard and enjoy a few peanuts or seeds or whatever. Consider it an open bar. Enjoy! She was very excited that one of you flew by earlier in the day. But please, peck responsibly. Don't fly if you've had too much from the feeder.
Pause: Have a look at my hunky leg moment...ok move on...
Lastly, look how much fun my mommy is having. I just let her have her fun and hang out for as long as I can without, you know, poopin' or spittin'. I just figure, "Ah, she's having a good time. Let her go."
That's it for today. Thanks for checkin' in...I'm out. Stay tuned for Family Guy.

Finding Lost City

Hey all, Hudson here. I took my first trip to "Lost City" in the Shawangunks today. I don't know why it's called Lost City... apparently everyone knows where it is. There was an impressive crew of boulderers up there today, including that guy behind me in the pic -- that's Carmine (or "lito" as my dad calls him). He's a cool dude. Here he's warming up and dipping his hands in his chalk bag. And that brings me to a good point: If I have a hand free, why would I put it in a bag of chalk when I can stick it in my mouth and chew? Hand in the mouth = pleasure time. But to each his own. Live and let spit, I say.
Lost city was fun, though. The hike was grueling...for my mom, my dad, and my aunt...Hahahaha! What are you kidding me? I got carried in like a king. I got to focus on gooing and gahing at the babbling brooks, rocks, trees and sky. I was fed lunch in the cool shade of a giant boulder, while I watched everyone around me climb. And I slept in the quiet of a mountain breeze (well, when the crew wasn't screaming bloody flapper like a bunch of luhoooozers on moderate boulder problems). I was hovering in the arms of my mommy, my aunt Nicole, and my auntie Summer for most of the day, taking it all in. In fact, my feet never even touched the ground. That's some serious control technique my friends. How many people do you know get that kind of royal treatment? None I bet. Like I said before... king.
What else? I talked a lot today. I'm really starting to find my voice and I'm not afraid to use it. You know, it's been a cool couple of weeks. I'm really learning a ton. I get curious about stuff and then I just go for it. Sort of like Marky Mark was doing today, searching for watermelon colored tape in Lost City ... but not really. He's probably still there looking. I, on the other hand, have been finding the things I look for. And it feels pretty darn good.

45 Degrees and Money

Yo, first I wanna give a shout out to all my homies who've been checking in on the blog. Second, I gotta stop talking like that...blame it on my dad. Every now and then he starts with the "yo wuttup", "word", "that's dope", "yeah kid"... I mean, what's he think? I'm only a little dude, you know? I'm trying to learn to speak properly, and THIS kind of stuff is bound to start rubbing off. Come on, now. He really thinks he's cool and in tune. He's about as in tune as his guitar, and if you ever heard him play then you know exactly what I'm saying. Crack Johnson... I'd rather listen to Dug screeching about riding a steel horse.
Anyway, my blog. I almost forgot getting all carried away with that nonsense. Today was awesome! I was supposed to go to the Gunks and hang out by rocks and trees in the mountains but instead, for some reason only my rents could possibly know, I did absolutely nothing for most of the day! Thanks guys. I was bored out of my one-sie. That is until we went to Logan's house. Logan's house made everything better. He showed me a few boulder problems that his dad, Walter, put up on their new 45 degree climbing wall in the garage. Logan and I were cracking up because our dads were talking about how hard the problems were and that the holds were all tiny, but truthfully...buckets. The holds on that wall were buckets and Logan and I could've taken naps in them if we wanted to. Basically our rents are weaksauce. (But don't tell them we said that. They might get all bent outta shape like little Baby Einstein finger puppets). We couldn't climb though because...well...for starters I can't even walk yet, so that's a pretty big factor. So we just hung out for a while and then we had some dinner. I enjoyed a nice hearty bottle of Alimentum, with rice and Zantac, while Logan had the Apple-Pear sauce and carrot puree with a side of juice. We dined, I pooped, and that was it  -- we called it a night. It turned out to be a good day. And I think tomorrow I'm actually going to the Gunks. We'll see...yo.

Water Water Everywhere

...but I wouldn't want to drink the water I'm going to tell you about. Bathwater. I love it. There's something really amazing about taking a bath. First of all, let me explain the routine:

I spit up quite a bit during the day. It's just what I do. It doesn't really bother me, but it apparently bothers the rents because it gets behind my ears and makes my head smell like my food. Whatever. They're a little too much sometimes. Anyway, it's great for me because it means I'm going to get a rub a dub (which I learned is just a goofy way of saying I'm getting a bath). So, all the clothes come off and I get carried away to my warm tub. My feet get dipped first..hmm, that feels about right. And next thing you know I'm all in! Water in between my toes, my fingers, moving all around me...and dad usually holds my head while mom does all the soaping, sudsing and rinsing. Water feels soooo good. I could sit in there all night.

Then it's time to get out. I get wrapped up in any one of these towels (as you can see tonight I'm a frog here...ummm, great...I'm not gonna lie I feel kinda funny with a frog costume on in May). But, it's worth the 30 seconds of humiliation for the massage and baby powdering that comes next. I get serious spa treatment after every bath. What else could a guy ask for?

Oh, and the reason I wouldn't drink that water...well, let's just say sometimes I feel extra comfortable in the tub. Someone go and get me a Curious George book to read...or uh, maybe you'll have to read that to me. Either way -- Oh yeah!

Crimpin' is easy.

Earlier today I was outside swinging my arms around when I suddenly found my fingers curled around mommy's bottom lip. I pulled. And she said, "Ouch! OH that hurts!" Didn't faze me, though. I was amazed at how easy it was to grab something and hold on like that. So, I tested this new found skill a bit later on with a new toy that grandma bought me. Every time I touched it, it played music and lit up! I also picked up this cold toy that the rents keep stuffing in my mouth and I did it myself...enjoying its frosty goodness at my own leisure. Oh man, how cool. Today I found my hands...and I think I'll be using them alot!

We're Rollin'

Hey all, Hudson here.

It's seems all of my friends have been blogging lately. Ella VW has been a staple on the blog scene her whole life -- and now Lillian B is out there, too.

Me? I've been a little busy lately, but I'm on it now. Give me a little time to catch up. In a nutshell, I'm almost 4 months old now. Hardly born yesterday. I've been drooling and spitting and eating and pooping and peeing and laughing and sleeping a lot...Now I'm honing my rolling over technique. I do it, but sometimes it takes a little too much effort and I don't really feel like wasting all that playtime energy on trying to impress the rents. So, I do it when I feel like it. It's actually extremely fun watching them cheer me on and showing me off and making a fuss, and then I don't perform. Classic!

What else? Oh..this first pic I'm posting of myself was taken by my buddy Dave Toth. He takes pictures for a living. Visit him at davidtothphotography.com and tell him I said what's up.

I think for now that's it. I'm starving...I'm outta here. Later.
